Listen to audiobooks — controls and features

Audiobook Playback

Every book in Dreamsquare comes with a professionally narrated audiobook. Here's how to make the most of the listening experience.

Starting an audiobook

1. Open any book in your library.
2. Tap the Listen button (headphone icon) to switch from reading to listening.
3. Playback begins from where you left off — whether you were reading or listening.

Player controls

• Play / Pause — Tap the centre button.
• Skip forward / back — Tap the forward or back buttons to jump 30 seconds (configurable in settings).
• Chapter navigation — Tap the chapter list icon to jump to a specific chapter.
• Progress bar — Drag to scrub through the current chapter.

Playback speed

Tap the Speed button (1x) to adjust:

• 0.5x — Slow and deliberate. Good for complex passages.
• 1x — Normal speed.
• 1.25x / 1.5x — A comfortable speed-up for experienced listeners.
• 2x / 3x — For when you know the story and want to move quickly.

Sleep timer

Listening in bed? Tap the Timer icon to set a sleep timer:

• 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour, or End of chapter.

Playback stops automatically when the timer runs out.

Background playback

Close the app or lock your screen — the audiobook keeps playing. Control playback from your lock screen or notification shade.
